Moana is live across the Pacific
Moana is live at private clinics in the South Pacific, and at private laboratories and pharmacies in the region. The founding site, a private medical clinic in the South Pacific and Moana’s first pilot, has run its practice on Moana since April 2026.
The founding site
The pilot clinic moved its records, appointment schedule and prescribing across from its previous system, and its doctors now work from Moana every day. Each patient has a single record holding consultation notes, prescriptions and results.
As the first site to run Moana in daily practice, the clinic has informed the development of the platform for private practices. Its doctors work directly with the Moana team, and the issues they raise in clinical practice are taken into the product.
Laboratories and pharmacies
Moana is also in use at private laboratories and pharmacies in the South Pacific. Laboratories work in MOANA LIS and pharmacies in the Moana Pharmacy Management System, on the same platform as the clinics.
Connectivity
Connectivity in the region is variable. The platform is designed for unreliable connectivity: work is saved on the device and synchronised when the connection returns.
