Registered once, recognised everywhere
Before a record is created, Moana checks whether the patient is already known. One person receives one identity and one lifelong record across every connected facility, and appointments, check in and queues run from that record.

Assessed and ordered at the point of care
Triage sets acuity from the first observations. The doctor works from a live worklist with alerts and results, documents a coded diagnosis and places laboratory, imaging and medication orders with safety checks applied before signing.

Results straight from the analyser
The specimen is barcoded at collection and the analyser sends its results directly into MOANA LIS. Quality control is applied, a critical value is flagged against limits the laboratory set, a scientist verifies it and the ordering doctor is notified.

Medicines verified before release
Every order is checked against the patient’s allergies, results and current medicines. The pharmacy sees it the moment it is signed, verifies it again and dispenses against real batches.

Charted through every shift
On the ward, observations are charted and every dose is recorded as it is given. When the shift changes, the next team already knows, and the discharge summary is generated from the stay.

Reported from the care itself
The coded diagnosis contributes to national surveillance as it is recorded. Trends, maps and alerts update without a separate return, and every programme reports from routine care.
Ministry of healthShown with demonstration data
One connected health record, from the clinic to the ministry.
Records, laboratory, pharmacy, imaging and national reporting on one platform. When the internet drops, clinical work keeps going and syncs safely when it returns.

The platform
An integrated health information system. Nine applications, one record.
Each application can be deployed on its own, and every one shares the same patient identity, the same coded terminology and the same audit trail. Select an application to see what it does.
Platform
MOANA EHR
One record across outpatient, inpatient and emergency care.
- Worklists for every role, ranked by acuity
- Orders and results in the same record
- Early warning scores from routine vitals
One patient, one record
One patient record, from registration to national reporting.
Follow one patient through Moana, from the first registration to the national picture. Every screen is the real Moana interface, shown with demonstration data.
MOANA Mobile
The record at the bedside, and in every patient’s hand.
Doctors run ward rounds and review critical results from the phone. Nurses record observations and give medicines at the bedside against the electronic medication record. Patients book with any linked Moana facility and download their own laboratory and imaging reports.

Built for real conditions
When the connection drops, care keeps going.
Moana performs from fibre-connected referral hospitals to facilities where connectivity is intermittent. When the link drops, clinical work continues, and conflicts are surfaced for review rather than overwritten.

Live in clinics, laboratories and hospitals.
National systems
National health information systems, built from routine care.
Ministries see disease trends, stock positions and research feasibility without asking facilities to complete a second set of forms.
AI with human review
AI that assists. Clinicians decide.
Clinical rules identify patients whose observations or results need attention, and AI summaries set out what has changed for doctors and surveillance teams. A clinician reviews every flag before anything changes in the record.
- Care recordedObservations and results enter the record.
- Risk flaggedClinical rules and AI summaries point to what needs attention.
- Clinician reviewsA clinician reviews every flag.

Questions
Frequently asked questions.
What practices, hospitals and ministries ask us first.
What is Moana Digital Health?
Moana Digital Health builds an integrated health information platform for private practices, hospitals, laboratories, pharmacies and ministries of health. Nine applications cover electronic health records, laboratory, imaging, pharmacy, clinical research, public health surveillance and medical supply on one patient record.
Can a laboratory or pharmacy use Moana on its own?
Yes. MOANA LIS and the Moana Pharmacy Management System are both available as standalone systems. An independent laboratory or community pharmacy can run either one without the rest of the platform, and connect to clinics and hospitals later.
Is Moana suitable for a single private practice?
Yes. Practices choose the modules they need on a monthly subscription, and our team configures Moana for the way the practice works. More modules can be added as the practice grows.
Which interoperability standards does Moana support?
Moana supports HL7 FHIR R4, SMART on FHIR, FHIR bulk export, HL7 v2, DICOM, SNOMED CT, ICD 10 and ICD 11, LOINC, RxNorm and UCUM, with aggregate reporting to DHIS2.
Does Moana work without an internet connection?
Moana is designed for connections that come and go. The desktop and mobile applications keep working through an outage, save work on the device and sync automatically when the connection returns.
Who owns the data in Moana?
The practice, hospital or government that collects the data owns it. Hosting is agreed with each client, and patients control who can see their record across facilities.
Can Moana connect to our existing laboratory analysers and PACS?
Yes. Moana integrates with laboratory analysers and instruments and can connect to an existing hospital PACS, using HL7, ASTM, DICOM and FHIR.
Running a practice?
Tell us about your practice and our team will reach out with the modules that fit and a monthly subscription quote.
Planning a hospital or national rollout?
