ANGAU Cancer Department configured to capture cancer registry data in the record

The Cancer Department at ANGAU Memorial Provincial Hospital is mapped and configured in Moana, with go live at ANGAU expected in the coming weeks.
The department records registry data on the paper based national hospital cancer registry form.
Each stage of care mapped
Each stage was mapped: referral and registration, diagnosis, staging, treatment planned and delivered, and follow up. The configuration is in line with national cancer reporting requirements, including the ICD O3 diagnosis coding used on the registry form.
One record per patient
Clinicians work from one record for each patient, holding the referral source, the treatment planned and delivered, and the patient’s status after care.
The registry from the record
With the department configured, Moana is set to become the primary data capture point for the registry, with registry data captured as part of clinical documentation rather than on a separate paper form.
