Moana Digital Health is live across clinics in Pakistan

Moana Digital Health is live across clinics in Pakistan.
The work is proceeding region by region, connecting patient records, clinical workflows, laboratories and pharmacies into a single platform. Every new site brings the same goal closer: a patient’s full medical history moving with them, whichever facility they walk into.
What Moana gives each clinic
Each clinic uses the parts of the platform its practice needs, on the same system that serves hospitals and national programmes elsewhere. That can include:
- Patient registration and one record per patient, with a patient ID that works across linked facilities
- Appointments and the daily clinic schedule
- Consultation notes, vitals and clinical charting
- Prescribing, with interaction checks before a medicine is dispensed
- Laboratory orders and results returned to the record
- Billing and invoicing alongside clinical care
Because the clinics share one platform, a result, a prescription or a referral recorded at one site is available at the next, with the patient’s consent and under each facility’s own access controls.
Why clinics first
Private clinics see a large share of everyday care. They need a system that is quick to set up, works on the hardware they already have, and does not stop when the connection drops.
Moana is configured for each clinic by our team, runs on Windows, macOS and Linux, and keeps working through an outage before syncing when the link returns.
For a growing practice the model is simple. Start with the modules the clinic needs today, on a monthly subscription, and add more as the practice grows.
Infrastructure, done properly
Connecting a country’s clinics is infrastructure work, and it has to be right.
Records are coded with international standards, including ICD 10, LOINC and HL7 FHIR R4, so the data a clinic records today can be shared and reported tomorrow without being entered again.
More to come.
